Surgical Inseminations

Surgical inseminations are typically recommended for using frozen semen or when fertility issues are present (poor quality semen, females with poor conception rates). This is a surgical procedure requiring anesthesia, and the semen is placed directly into the uterus. Surgical inseminations require more precise timing, and are sometimes combined with other insemination techniques during the fertile period. However, only one surgical insemination can be performed during a heat cycle.
